Racist? Really?

black womanThere seems to be a whole industry that has appeared dedicated to accusations of "racism" whenever any person who could possibly be perceived as "black" is criticised in any way. The latest incarnation of this trend has been in the debate over the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Apparently the only reason the British press and the British people have been critical of the Duchess of Sussex (aka Meghan Markle) is because they are all "racists". Jameela Jamil (whoever she is, but she seems to think she's important) tweeted "Dear England and English press, just say you hate her because she's black, and him for marrying a black woman and be done with it."

Talking About Climate Change

Nearly 27,000 delegates attended the COP25 Climate Change Conference in Madrid in December 2019. 27,000! By my rough calculations, the aircraft needed to convey all those representatives to Madrid churned out something like 9400 tonnes of CO2. And they achieved.... nothing.“The international community lost an important opportunity to show increased ambition on mitigation, adaptation and finance to tackle the climate crisis.” Never mind, they'll all meet again in Glasgow in 2020.
